Speaking of Hours Spent with the Media...
Last Thursday we totalled how many hours a week we take in partake of the media in our daily lives. The total was bad, even for me. This weekend, though, I blew my own total out of the water! I drove home to Southern Nevada (a 10 hour round trip drive) with my Ipod on the entire time, watched the BYU football game, listened to music at a reception for a few hours, read an entire book, watched children's programming with my niece for a few hours, and payed bills on the internet. Total hours for Saturday afternoon through Monday night: 31. Pretty sad- It adds up quick!

It's pretty crazy how fast it all adds up. Media is so hard to get away from!
ReplyDeleteHaha I totally know what you mean! I watched four movies on Labor Day and did not even leave my apartment. It's funny how I can spend an entire day in front of the tv and have it fly away in no time!
ReplyDeleteIt's unreal how saturated our lives are with the media! I've learned to hate the silence. I need my music to workout and drive and even put clothes away in my room. I love television shows and I get addicted to new ones all the time! It's crazy how much it surrounds our lives. I wonder how it can even grow from here with the next generation!
ReplyDeleteIt is so true how easy it can be to watch the media. I never thought I was much of a media person until I added up in class...It really opened my eyes.
